Not really Chinglish, because the Chinese character means “Dying right here is strictly prohibited” too. Nonetheless it is really strange to have such notice.
I would suspect too many people commited suicide there.Is it the roof of a tall building that too many people jumped down from there?

it’s obviously done by graffiti artists. you can see the spray paint and the lines crossing some of the letters, letters were cut out of a board.
can’t believe many people here take it for real, it works well i guess.
