  1. Top Chef | 1:15 am |

He is what you call a functional leper…

  2. Jay | 1:23 am |

This just goes to show you that by becoming an entire chef, even a leper can change his spots.

  3. Algernon | 1:29 am |

He so much wishes to please you that he leaves a tasty new taste in every meal.

  4. Warren | 1:34 am |

An entire chef, that’s good, they cook better than decapitated ones….

Is the restaurant really prosperous? With this on their first page?

  5. OtisM | 1:42 am |

Unlike most of those who attended the main office opening, he never lost face.

  6. Niagara Powered | 1:48 am |

The Sun Aloha waitresses are just like the Hooters waitresses… except with more leprosy.

Dipping your taco chip into the waitresses neck is considered good luck.

  7. Spoony | 2:40 am |

What you don’t know is that he also created time travel. I don’t know any other 9 year old restaurants that opened in 2005.

  8. Spoony | 2:41 am |

Yes, I’ll take some of the leprosy special. Teppanyucky.

  9. Spoony | 2:42 am |

Oh good, you have an entire chef here. That last restaurant was a little bloody.

  10. rowger | 3:10 am |

At precisely August the 31st, 2014, The SUNALOHA will STOP BEING POSSIBLE!

  11. Someone | 3:37 am |

I’m surprised they even think they’re gonna make it to 2014, with their promise to research tasty new tastes every day.

  12. Richard | 3:42 am |

We wish the chef continued success. I think!

  13. beechoak | 3:45 am |

    que?

  14. beechoak | 3:46 am |

This leprosy you speak of, is this one of those muslin curses they serve in China?

  15. beechoak | 3:49 am |

Seen as everyone and the manager and entire chef… this guy can really multitask!

  16. beechoak | 3:51 am |

    Mmmmmmm, looooove that tasty taste!

  17. beechoak | 3:52 am |

How does he have time for research with all of his other staff endeavors?

  18. beechoak | 3:53 am |

Also in the future you may ask what? Spit it out!

  19. kringo | 3:59 am |

It puts the poi on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

  20. Rob | 4:42 am |

Due to leprosy, chef not possible to remain entire. However, now having one more taqsty new taste for limited time only.

  21. Jon | 4:58 am |

Oh waiter, there’s a nose in my soup.

  22. gbear | 5:13 am |

(Sung to the tune of the Beatle’s “Yesterday”)

Leprosy, I’m not half the man I used to be.

  23. Mononoke | 5:15 am |

I really inaugurated something when I opened that leprosy main office, especially after spending that entire year seeing as everyone.
But I fail to see why I have to be dragged into this guy’s personal history.

  24. Yogesh Damle | 5:56 am |

While I’m a great fan of Engrish.com, I’m embittered by it’s insensitivity to a physical condition. While they might be intending plain humour, engrish.com should have thought of the comments this snap would invite.

Who said leprosy patients don’t use internet? Can we please shelve this snap?

  25. Xila | 6:13 am |

Isn’t fun to remember the good old days? The sun, the food, the wine… the leprosy

  26. ChillinCharlie | 6:41 am |

The food is so good, that your tongue will fall off and lick the plate for you.

  27. Pamela | 6:41 am |

“At Sunaloha, there’s a bit of us in every dish”

  28. Jerry | 6:45 am |

You have to wonder about “entire chef”, what with the leprosy and all.

  29. Alan | 6:48 am |

    please don`t leave a tip

  30. BeadyEl | 7:40 am |

He may have been an entire chef at when the place opened, but….

  31. Brian | 7:43 am |

Got to think that their English (Engrish?) dictionary led them astray with “leprosy”.

Sure, it’s a Hawaiian restaurant, and the Hawaiian island of Molokai was once home to a leper colony… but even that’s quite a stretch.

  32. Claire | 8:57 am |

Mmmm! That meat is falling off the bone good!

  33. th tlansrater | 9:21 am |

try new finger sandwiches is tasty and delight ! no worries of nails from leper. fall off long time. flesh and tasty ! we introduce delicacy of new time ! bone appetite !

  34. Tim | 9:24 am |

It’s not often you see “lorem ipsum” actually make it into print.

  35. Blaze | 9:42 am |

The food there is finger licking go-OOPS! Hey, ask the chef for some gauze and tell him I won’t be able to use the chopsticks anymore.

  36. Grifter | 11:23 am |

Leprosy for 9 years will make anyone want to say ‘Aloha’

  37. Emma | 12:17 pm |

Well, it does say the main office chef is served.

  38. J-Luke | 12:25 pm |

An entire chef is quite remarkable for a leprosy main office…

  39. bigcaddy | 1:22 pm |

i just love to eat rotting human flesh!

  40. Lollerskate | 3:00 pm |

Like in past they said to use: “Like the sun, peresever and increase with vigor to the supernova we do, and “Aloha!” to the world we say” but what did that mean, ask later you may.

  41. Vegans Volant | 3:36 pm |

Yes, in future ask you may. But use translations from Yoda you should not.

  42. elbaradei | 4:08 pm |

u know what, in 1997, I was SUNALOHA MINATOMIRAI HONTEN.
    wait… so were you, right?

  43. David | 5:06 pm |

I asked May, but she only spoke French.

  44. AnnaRexia | 5:33 pm |

@ Yogesh Damle: The internet is serious business!

  45. simulflow | 6:10 pm |

Perseveres and increases their Engrish they must!

(I laughed out loud at this … WHERE did the word “leprosy” come from!?)

  46. TJ | 8:06 pm |

    Be the aloha!!

  47. Dave Buggert Orf | 8:19 pm |

If you use babelfish and type in “leprosy main office”, convert to Japanese and then back to English, the whole thing becomes clearer. It actually should read “principal office of leprosy”.

  48. Dominic Small | 8:40 am |

What happens when the Employee of the Month committee and the Book of the Month Club put their heads together…

  49. TJ | 9:25 am |

    …they’d fall off.

  50. YoGinny | 2:28 pm |

Some restaurants offer half a chef, this one has AN ENTIRE chef! WOW

  51. Speed | 9:24 pm |

    Oh…i, uh, completely understand…

  52. Mrlee | 12:50 pm |

    Leprosy alert

  53. Ken | 9:45 pm |

The tasty new tast is the leprosy (9 years old since 2005).

  54. Tlansratol | 4:56 pm |

    > If you use babelfish and type in “leprosy main office”, convert to Japanese and then back to English, the whole thing becomes clearer. It actually should read “principal office of leprosy”.

    It all makes sense now.

  55. Atli Hafsteinsson | 11:33 am |

They may have leprosy, but at least they have an entire chef.

  56. Gene Vacant | 11:48 am |

Hey, it’s just like the Sun Aloha in Molokai!

  57. Kara | 7:22 am |

Leprosy…. no wonder why his food taste so good! He really put himself into his dishes!

  58. Jeremiah | 8:27 pm |

I give this restaurant two thumbs off!

  59. donjuan71 | 1:32 pm |

Food is good, but costs an arm and a leg.

  60. Misty | 2:50 pm |

    Our secret ingredient…LEPROSY!

  61. Felix | 12:32 am |

Lost appendages may be reclaimed at the Leprosy Main Office

    Just don’t eat the crisps….!

  63. Sarah | 10:43 pm |

    Gotta love the leprosy.

  64. JJBin | 9:19 pm |

The long hindered SUNALOHA history. Be specific they must…

  65. jerphilm | 3:26 pm |

Wait… did they turn the leprosy main office into a restaurant?

  66. Brian | 3:36 pm |

Mmmmm. The new taste of leprosy. Try it today!

  67. 101mahina | 4:52 am |

    May didn’t respond…

  68. Seventy2rd o clock | 11:14 pm |

At the end, everything tastes like chicken
