Unanswerable question: What exactly IS it that the Japanese harbor against CRUST?
I’ve NEVER seen a sandwich in a Japanese konbini (convenience store) with any freakin’ CRUST left! They always cut it off before packaging them sammiches.
If I was a vegetarian, I’d be choosing to get out of there.
And why are there pictures of bunnies on sandwiches that have meat?

Or, a Soba sandwich…a bun with soba noodles inside as the “filling”. Carbs with carbs and nothing else but for a few slivers of pickled ginger.
YES they actually DO sell these sandwiches at Japanese convenience stores. And Japanese people actually DO buy and eat them.
At least they’re better than egg, corn, and mayonnaise pizza.
Or curry pizza.
Don’t get me wrong. I like curry. Just not on my pizza.
