I remember a “Bozo’s Circus” skit when I was a kid. Cookie the clown walks up to a black lever which has a sign saying “DO NOT PULL” on it. He goes into a monologue as to what could possibly happen if he pulled the lever-could it open a trap door, could it reveal a treasure, etc. Finally he succumbs to temptation and pulls the lever again and again and again.
