I noticed that the photo was taken in Mito…famous for another known Japanese wanderer, Mito Komon, lead character in a popular Japanese TV show that has been on for decades. (Although the original cast was the best and later casts left a lot to be desired.) For captioners who currently or have lived for long periods in Japan and know the language and culture, no further explanation needed. He was some aged relative of the shogun who used to travel around Japan like Robin Hood with a band of samurai and a ninja or two along with some goofy foodie… Read more »
