Gut over here!
Aside from a beer gut, this one’s my favorite.
Just for refence, “Stube” means “lounge in German. Raclette is a Swiss dish of melted cheese. “Gut” means good, which could have something to do with this apparent mistranslation.
Yuck . .. who has the guts to try that?
I initially read this as “Crut” and was about to make a very funny remark, but then I realised it said “Gut” and all my inspiration disappeared.
I’ve read the Swiss Cheese theory, and there are a lot of holes in it.
Gruyere I guess it’s full of holes
Sorry I don’t have the stomach for it.
If I get cheese in my gut it does bad things to my dairy air.
EDIT: Oh Gut in Himmel.
@Daniel M. 1330.
So. Es ist ein German/English creole, referring to a ratschitt lounge.
Sehr gut, ich verstehen.
Personally. I find all the holes in Swiss Cheese, to be somewhat boring.
The Swiss hired Elon Musk’s Boring company to do the job.
I notice the good ole Elton is doing his bit for the road toll. (I did say, for, not against)
